Free Demo vs. Registered
version of SA+PR
Adding a SA+PR Registration
Number unlocks the full features of the program, making Download,
Get, Save, Print and the built in Help fully functional. And, by purchasing a
SA+PR Registration Number, you gain access
to the comprehensive Help manual, and are eligible to receive
unlimited e-mail support.
The Free 15 day Demo of SA+PR always presents the Registration
dialog box upon launch of the program. In Demo mode you are
allowed unlimited use of the program for 15 days, but Download,
Get, Save, Print and the built in Help are disabled. After
the 15 day trial period has passed, the program will no longer
function without a Registration Number.
If you have ordered
and received your personalized Registration Number, enter your
Name and Registration Number into the appropriate
fields of the SA+PR Registration dialog box, and click
on the Register button. Once done,
the SA+PR Registration dialog box no longer appears, and you have a FULL
functioning FULL features version of SA+PR.
CONTEXT SENSITIVE HELP:
On Mac Classic, context sensitive balloon help is
implemented. It is turned on/off via the Show/Hide Balloons under
the Help menu. On Mac OS X and Windows, tag help is implemented..
BUILT-IN SA+PR HELP GUIDE:
Registered versions of SA+PR also possess an html style
built in help system, accessed via SA+PR Help Guide, under the
Help menu. For the built in html based SA+PR Help Guide to work,
the SA+PR Help folder must be located at the same level as the
SA+PR program itself. Note that the built in help system is not
implemented on Linux. Linux (and Mac and Windows) users can refer to
the PDF based version of SA+PR Help, which is identical to the built
in html version. NOTE that access to the full help guides are provided
only when a user Purchases a Registration number. If you are evaluating
SA+PR, refer to the SA+PR Minihelp document, or the Balloon Help.
SAPRPortfolio.rbd
For the Portfolio
Review module to work, the file named "SAPRPortfolio.rbd" must reside in
the same folder (and at the same level) as the SA+PR program itself. It must
not be renamed.
IMPORTANT NOTE
******************
If you have input information into the Portfolio Review portion of
SA+PR, then prior to replacing the previous version of the program, set
aside the file named "SAPRPortfolio.rbd". This is where the portfolio
data you have input resides. After downloading the new version of the
program, replace the newly downloaded file
named "SAPRPortfolio.rbd" with the one you have set aside.

Finding Financial Data
There are
two methods in which to get financial
data into SA+PR.
The
first and fastest method to get financial
data into SA+PR is to import existing data that is in .ssg format.
- v1.6.0 gained
the ability to Screen for stocks that display Value, Growth, Income or
Quality. SA+PR can perform 10 categories of Fundamental Stock Screens.
Screen for Small to Large Cap companies that are Fast Growing but Low Priced.
Screen for High Yielding companies listed in the DJIA or S&P. Screen
for Profitable but Undervalued companies. Screen for companies that represent
good Value. Screen for GARP companies. Or avoid the crowd and perform a
Contrarian screen.
- v1.4.0 gained the ability
to retrieve financial data for USA and Canadian public companies
from the internet. SA+PR is the ONLY program of its kind with
this ability! Retrieved data can be saved in standard .ssg file format.
Also retrieve stock symbols for public companies in 12 countries
(Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain,
Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden & USA). Information is from
MSN's moneycentral.msn.com. No membership or subscription fees
are required. Requires that your computer have access
to the Internet (cable or DSL connection preferred).
- Another source of .ssg
file data is from investment clubs. Educational and informational,
they are a great way to learn time tested investing methods. Members
can gain access to books, magazines and a myriad of services, including
access to .ssg files for use in SA+PR. Membership and/or subscription
fees typically apply. Check out these links to obtain more information,
and see whether you feel they may benefit you:
National Association
of Investors Corporation, NAIC,
Canadian Shareowners Association,
CSA,
World Federation of Investors,
WFIC.
- v1.2.0 gained
the ability to download .ssg files directly from the NAIC's
www.BetterInvesting.org
web site, via a user's site registered membership number and
password. You must be an NAIC member and subscriber to the Better
Investing S&P data service. Membership and/or subscription fees
typically apply. Requires that your computer have access to the
Internet.
The
second method to get financial data into
SA+PR is to input it by hand. Unlike what you might think, it is
a fairly painless process. The required fields of data have a
light green background, so it is easy to identify the minimum amount
of data. The Tab key takes you from one cell to the next, and the cells
themselves have filters which allow only numeric input into numeric
fields. The historical data needed by SA+PR to carry out its analysis
can be obtained from the following locations:
Annual Reports A company's annual
report usually (but not always) contains sufficient information
for the SA+PR analysis, but the information is not presented in a
standard format, and changes from one company to the next.
Value Line Stock Reports Value
Line Stock Reports have all the necessary information in an easily
accessible form. You can subscribe to receive the information
or obtain copies from most libraries.
S&P Stock Reports Standard
and Poor's Stock Reports have all the necessary information
in an easily accessible form. You can subscribe to receive the
information or obtain copies from most libraries.
WWW A tremendous amount of financial
information is available from a variety of sources on the
web. It just may not be all in one place, but search and likely
you shall find.

Intuitec Software Inc. is in no way affiliated with the NAIC,
the CSA, the WFIC, S&P or Value Line, nor does the mention
of the NAIC, the CSA, the WFIC, S&P or Value Line indicate
an endorsement of SA+PR by the NAIC, the CSA, the WFIC, S&P or
Value Line.
